Bodywork and Massage Services

Graston Technique

The Graston technique, or scraping,  uses a stainless-steel instrument and special massage method to identify areas of muscle adhesion, or scar-like tissue, that can be improved. A healthcare provider uses the instrument and massage in combination to stretch and relax the muscle tissues.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which a massage therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction.  Some of the benefits include: helping to reduce pain, inflammation, increase blood flow, relaxation and wellbeing.

Active Isolated Stretching

Active isolated stretching is a type of exercise that works by actively contracting the muscle opposite the targeted muscle, allowing it to relax before the stretch.

Soft Tissue Massage

Your soft tissue massage aims to alleviate aches, pains and injuries attributed to your body’s soft tissues. A soft tissue massage includes a whole range of massage depths, pressures and durations

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues.

Sports Massage

This is similar to Swedish massage, but it's geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries.

Trigger Point Massage

This type of massage focuses on areas of tight muscle fibers that can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse.  It involves applying direct pressure to the tight muscle with the goal of the muscle releasing.
